Internertships in Social Work Degree
During external internships, Social Work students at the University of La Rioja make contact with social reality through the activities carried out in the different centers where they carry out their internships. Centers in which the attention to all social groups in situations of vulnerability and/or social exclusion is present, for which several of the SDGs and consequently aspects of the Global Agenda of Social Work are addressed.
The purpose of the practices is student learning and service to society, through the development of projects in two modalities of diagnostic study and social intervention. The development of the practices is carried out with the teaching-learning methodology of service-learning, as a means for its institutionalization, since it is framed in the Study Plan of the Degree in Social Work.
Through practical practices, students are provided with the necessary skills and competencies for professional practice and to link the contents learned in the theoretical sessions with the activities that they will carry out in the practice centers, on a day-to-day basis.
Since the implementation of the Degree (course 2011-12) more than 500 practices have been carried out. The present communication, therefore, wants to expose the systematization of the same developed through the APS in the Degree of Social Work of the University of La Rioja
