Personal Challenge and Experience through social Engagement | Persönlichkeitsentwicklung durch gesellschaftliches Engagement (200155)
In this seminar, the students learn practical key competences. After a personal competence analysis, individual project development for a social commitment and preparations for it, the students start their service-learning experience. This experience should take place in a non-profit organization with an hourly scope of at least 40 hours if possible in the lecture-free period. During the engagement, the students pursue one to two competencies they wish to acquire or deepen and document this development. In this phase, the students are accompanied by reflection meetings. Finally, the students present their completed project in a final event.
Objective:
Above all, job-relevant skills such as communication skills, conflict skills and teamwork are required and trained in the engagements. The participants take on social responsibility through the opportunity to immerse themselves in foreign worlds of life. They strengthen their personal profile.
