Brief description

FENIX is a Service-Learning project (hybrid type III) carried out in partnership with the ELIS Association and funded by ENEL Cuore Onlus. The project involved 20 LUMSA students in a One to One Tutoring path with 20 minors and young adults in conflict with the law, in order to facilitate their social and economic reintegration and provide them with personal and professional tools.
The project took place between October 2019 and October 2020. The students before starting the tutoring were trained in presence on the issues of deviance and juvenile crime in Italy and in particular in Rome: the legal framework, the deviant context, the methods of support and tutoring. When COVID-19 arrived, the project came to a halt. Then meetings between student-tutors and beneficiaries continued online.
The entire project was based on a dual and integrated model, in which the process of Self Empowerment of the minor/young adult (through peer to peer education and Life Coaching activities) is accompanied by a technical-professional training path, consistent with the needs of the labor market.
