The ASPACE BIZKAIA FILMA Project is a project based on Service Learning (APS) carried out in the 3rd year of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication at the UPV / EHU during the 2019-2020 academic year in the subject “Realization I”. This initiative responds to the IKD educational model promoted by the UPV / EHU (Ikaskuntza Kooperatiboa eta Dinamikoa, terms that in Basque mean Cooperative and Dynamic Learning), which is committed to incorporating new active methodologies in its teaching.
Thus, 35 students of Audiovisual Communication and 50 users of ASPACE BIZKAIA (a non-profit organization for Attention to Cerebral Palsy) have formed six work teams and have designed and carried out different audiovisual projects.
This experience fulfills a double objective, to promote the inclusion of disability in the world of artistic creation and to sensitize students about the reality of cerebral palsy. Thanks to the ASPACE BIZKAIA FILMA project, students have had the opportunity to develop Curriculum competencies, but also ethical and social competencies, thus incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
• GOAL 4 (QUALITY EDUCATION)
• GOAL 10 (REDUCTION OF INEQUALITIES)
• GOAL 16 (PROMOTE JUST, PEACEFUL AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES)
• GOAL 17 (PARTNERSHIPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS)
The collaboration and advice of the ASPACE Bizkaia association with the students has been fundamental and constant in order to carry out this project and the evaluation of the experience carried out has been very positive, both by the students, as well as by ASPACE BIZKAIA and the team participating teacher.
